Variation: “Soviet mudkip” fan version

Worn at: Gasukan, Anime Evolution 2009

Why I made it: This was made to match Chibiroth’s hoodie version of Mudkip when she suggested I make Soviet Mudkip, and was a cute idea to attend a local cosplay gathering with.

Construction: It took only 2 nights to make, the hood and body patterned by me and sewn with anti-pill fleece, the fins were lined with craft foam to keep their shape.

Personal thoughts: An entire costume out of anti-pill fleece? Only Pokemon! I loved wearing this comfy hoodie (except in the sun), and bright red tights helped complete the look. It’s since been sold to a good home.
