Temari of the Sand

Series: Naruto Shippuden

Worn at: Anime Oasis 2007

Why I made it: Temari was my favorite of the female cast of Naruto, and the least whiny of them, so my friends and I decided to put together a group of the Sand Siblings for AO 2007.

Construction: It cost me next to nothing to make it from leftover fabric, and made from an easy, online yukata tutorial. This costume was made before color scans came out of it, turns out it was a purple yukata with a darker obi, so we had to improvise what we thought the best color palette would be. The tights were cheap at Hot Topic, and the fan was already owned (I painted the back side of it). The hair was a little bit of a pain, but it beat trying to style a full wig. I finally got some shoes to modify into “real” ninja sandles, but few photos exist.

Personal Thoughts: Retired because it no longer fits me.
