Why I made this: Ayumi’s “Evolution” MV has always been my favorite, so I made it as a surprise gift for my boyfriend, planning to debut it at Anime Oasis 2008.

Construction: It was fairly easy and cheap to make, the tail was real coyote, with most of the challenge just dying the denim the correct shade of black and grey/blue. It was difficult finding a wig that matched Ayumi’s messed up blonde/strawberry blonde/ashe blonde shade, but worth it after finding the perfect location to simulate the MV’s background. Boots were pre-owned and microphone provided by Darkain.

Personal thoughts: I’m really most impressed with how accurately the photos look to the colors/feel of the music video of “Evolution”. A midnight shoot with only the orange lighting of the buildings made fore some incredible shots.
