Why I made it: It was a project that I had my mind stuck on for a good half year, and when we finalized going to AO 2007, it struck me as the perfect thing to wear to the Swimsuit Contest!

Construction: The body of it was a swimsuit liner, cut from a pattern, then altered to fit my form. I cut and sewed by hand the individual pieces of satiny material, then proceeded to sew them on to the body form. It was altered about a year later when I realized it no longer fit me, having to rip apart the entire front and add new gold details to the body.

Personal Thoughts: It was planned for almost 3 months, yet completed only at the very last second before the debute con (the irony!). It was heavily revamped in the front to fit properly and satin gold details added as per the figurine version I used as reference. Funny story though – I bought a Xenosaga Legends Trading Figures box the night before this costume debuted – and got the swimsuit figurine! Now I finally had a good reference for the front of her outfit that game-renders couldn’t show XD
